INFO: Sam Mackey is a freelance photographer and teaching artist based in Albany, NY & New York City with a passion for exploring the mundane through images and capturing the energy of a place, primarily focusing on photojournalism and music. She works in both digital and 35mm film formats and enjoys creating multimedia work. Her professional experience includes her position as an AmeriCorps Resident Teaching Artist in a NYC public school, integrating photography into core curriculum with original lessons and advocating for art opportunities. She also teaches a variety of art forms and hosts workshops for youth and adults. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Photojournalism from St. John's University, and works with creative agencies including Converse All Stars and Adolescent Content.
